Orkney 4 win in Inverness - 20&21/01/07

They said it couldn't be done but the furthest 'travelling whippets' wanted to prove them all wrong and by god did they do it.

They had previously beaten Shetland and were halfway to a victory over Caithness - so where else could they go.....??? Well, Inverness was the next port of call but with a late call off this could've knackered there quest for International stardom.

The three stalwarts, Adam Bews, Adam Stanger and Mik Swannie battled through the stages to reach the final against the home team, Inverness. After a tough encounter the final result went down to a points tally and the decision went the Orkney way to lift a fantastic scalp and title for the first team event encounter in the North.

After a short discussion with Orkney team captain, Mik - posing the question - "Where next...???" - he answered, "the world and they better be ready....".
