Stuart goes from Bottom to Top in short spell - 27/09/05

It is always difficult to progress through Thurso Squash Club's league system and reach the ultimate high of being in the top group, League 1. But, Stuart Sutherland proved he was committed to the task of reaching this/his goal. Starting in the bottom league, at the time there were 15 leagues of 5, not only did he manage to climb the structure, quickly but with heavy work constraints to compete with, aswell - proved he was a dedicated, fast and keen learner of the sport.

With this style of reaching League 1 being rare at the club it proves to be an excellent achievement and one that deserves plaudits.

After speaking to Stuart, he commented that there was a definite difference in styles of play and quality throughout the leagues, which progressively got harder but he was up to the challenge and ready to try and keep himself in the top leagues.
