The Walk

Join the 14-mile walk at 5.00 pm on Saturday, 7th June and you will be helping raise money and awareness for local charities.

Of the sponsorship money raised, 70% will be split equally between the local branches of Macmillan Cancer Support, Diabetes UK, Asthma and The MS Society; the remaining 30% will go to Halkirk Gala Week for community benefit.

The Location

The walk will start, and finish, at the Recreation Park, Bridge Street, Halkirk. You will be taking in some of the most scenic views in Caithness along the route (click here for map).

The Money

Once you have completed your application form (click here to open), you need to send us a £10 registration fee (£5 for children aged between 13 & 17). You will then be sent a sponsorship form to start your fundraising and an information booklet.

What’s included?

• An information booklet, which includes training advice;
• A t-shirt;
• Drinks, toilets, stewards and first-aid staff along the route;
• Free barbeque and after walk drink;
• Clearly marked route with free views!
