Mens Tournaments - Season 2008-2009 Summer Cup Round 5 -
03 June 08
The Jacob's Summer Cup Round 5 has again featured a sub par round and a different winner. The weather at 4 o'clock on Tuesday appears to have dissuaded a number of players but for these that did play in the evening, the rain disappeared and a nice evening was enjoyed. Once again the links have not favoured just one player as the top three places, all on net 66, have been decided on the better inward scores. In 3rd place was Grant Maxwell 73(7)66, 2nd was Ian Ritchie with Jerry Abbott gaining some form taking 1st place. Summer Cup Round 4 -
27 May 08
The 4th round of the Jacob's Summer Cup was as eventful as the previous 3 rounds. With the majority of the play being in the evening but, a few playing during the day courtesy of the Dounreay holiday both times were good to the top positions. Grant Maxwell, playing in the evening, produced a nice sub par round helped by one of those rare events, a hole in one at the par 4 (305 yd)13th hole. Although early in the competition the current frontrunners are Stuart Greig (294), Grant Maxwell (293) and Andy Mackay (292). The honours in the 4th round, however went to Andy MacKay 81(12)69, Grant Maxwell 75(7)68 and finding some form at last John Disbury 87(21)66. Summer Cup Round 3 -

Week 3, played on Tuesday was again won with a sub par round. In 3rd place with a good 99(28)71, and a one shot cut in handicap due to the high CSS on the day, was David Craig. Just in front, courtesy of the countback, was Fred Groves 80(9)71 but for the third week running the winner was well clear of the field and this time it was the turn of Cameron Ross 76(8)68, who also gained a handicap cut.
Summer Cup Round 2 -
