Shetland Inter-County - Season 2011-2012 - 01/03/12

Caithness were comfortable winners of their annual badminton inter-county versus Shetland.
The mainland select won the match held at Thurso High games hall 10-2 to retain the silverware.
Caithness lead mixed Mark and Shona Mackay were stretched before getting home in a three setter versus Shetland's Gordon Keith and Morag Fox.
Mark also had to scrap in his levels doubles when he and Halkirk youngster Peter Sangster prevailed in two very tough sets versus Gordon Keith and Roy Wood.
Caithness exile Zoe Anderson won both her games, partnering Fox to victory in the lead level doubles versus Shona Mackay and Kate MacNicol before teaming up with Wood to a hard-fought win at second mixed over Peter Sangster and Carole Mowat.
Shetland, without a handful of regulars, found it tough-going against a Caithness side, who were buoyed by their recent 10-2 home win in the first leg of their inter-county against Orkney.
