UNDER 13 BOYS DOUBLES LEAGUE WINNERS

The Dunnet/Castletown team, coached by Isobel Mackay, who were undefeated all season, and won the Under 13s Caithness Badminton Boys' Doubles League.

UNDER 13 & UNDER 15/17 COUNTY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Cups & Shields on both nights were presented by Andy Nicolson (not in photos), Caithness Badminton Association's President at American Tournaments - which were held in Wick Games Hall on Wednesday 2nd April, where 31 boys and 13 girls U13's attended.
On Thursday 3rd April in Thurso Games Hall, 26 Boys and 12 girls U15/U17's participated. (Andy also presented the perpetual shields and silver plates to the County Champions which they won in the competitions last December & January - reports have already been submitted).

UNDER 18, 16, 15 & 14 CHAMPIONSHIPS - (OPEN INVITATION)

A large contingent of competitors congregated in Wick & Thurso Games Halls on Sat 8th/Sun 9th for the first Junior Invitation tournament in a number of years.
Competitors travelled from Thurso, Wick, Orkney, Beauly, Nairn, Forres, Shetland, Lochaber to try and lift the spoils, in the weekend competition.

UNDER 17 CHAMPIONSHIPS

An entry of 17 boys and 12 girls took part in the 2002-2003 - Under 17 County Championship which were held over two days, 22 & 23/01/03.
There were representatives from 4 clubs Castletown, Dunnet, Thurso & Wick.
Moira McBeath, a Scottish International Athlete presented the girls trophies and Raymond Hill,a supporter/spectator/dadpresented the boys with their awards.
Overall, Kirsty Grant lifted three trophies and Stephen Hill & Craig Gunn put in good performances within the Boys section.
