American Tournament - Season 2002-2003

How does she do it??? - 09/11/02

A good number of badminton players arrived in Thurso Games Hall to compete in the first American Tournament of the season.

The rules were changed slightly to help with the handicap system.
If two 'A' team players were together against other players - they were only allowed one serve but this seemed to change near the 'nitty-gritty' stages when things 'hotted' up a bit.

The final was Sam and Carole against Isobel Mackay and John Durrand.
Isabel and John did their utmost to try and put pressure on the 'A' team players but Sam and Carole proved just to strong and lifted the title.
