Caithness Amateur Athletic Club, probably, amass the most amount of miles of any other athletic club in a season.
Their continued dedication and training, allows the club to consistently win awards in both summer and winter periods against top competition of their age groups.

Congratultions went to Caithness AAC in 2008 as they added yet another feather to their cap, receiving the Scottish Athletics Junior Club of the Year Award alongside Kilmarnock Harriers - click.

HiSToRY
In 1957 some of the Territorial Army members in Wick decided to form a running group. These members, Sandy Gunn, Tommy Dunnett and Ian McDonagh to name a few got together and ran in road races all over the north of Scotland.

TRaCK/GRouND
Thurso High School is the setting for CAAC's outdoor & indoor training.
A 200 metre track is provided with facilities available for long jump and throwing events.
Although minimal, the local athletes use the area well to produce excellent performances.

Thurso is situated adjacent to the Pentland Firth with views of Orkney and is the most northerly town on mainland Britain.
7 miles from Halkirk, 22 miles to Wick and about 20 miles from John O'Groats.
